Puakenikeni Leather Lei Workshop | Sunday August 9th
Workshop Date: Sunday August 9th, 2026
Mini Lei Time: If you have selected a Mini 15" Lei, the workshop will take place from 4pm-7pm (you will end one hour earlier than folks making a Full Lei).
Full Lei Time: If you have selected a Full 36" Lei, the workshop will take place from 4-8pm (you will stay one hour later than folks making a Mini Lei).
Location: 2nd Floor, 15 N Pauahi St. Honolulu, HI 96817 (meet inside Hook and Hide shop)
What to know:
- If you'd like to add anything special to your lei, please bring it with you and we can assist you if you need minor drilling such as shells, gemstones, etc.
- This workshop offers the traditional Puakenikeni flower colors you would typically find in nature - white, yellow, and orange.
- Please be sure to select your lei color(s) from the options above at check out!
- This is a beginner/intermediate workshop. You will not be required to have any leather craft skills.
- We will offer light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Alcohol is allowed but must be consumed in shop, and please drink responsibly.
- if you have any dietary restrictions or celebrating anything special, please email us with any requests and we'll do our best to accommodate!
What you'll need:
- Please wear covered shoes as you will be in a working leather shop. Tools required in this class are minimal but sharp tools and heavy machinery/equipment are at arms length. We ask you kindly to be mindful while moving about the room. Things may drop and move so please watch your step.
- The workshop may get warm at times, please wear appropriate clothing.
